Print

Even in today’s high tech world, you still need printed collateral to help build your business. Handouts, business cards, thank you notes – they make a lasting impression on potential clients. What does your collateral say? ChromAddict can help you tell your story.

Services

Print design always brings out the “inner artist” and combines it with the “control-freak designer”. You end up with a cleverly designed piece that reflects your branding, communicates your message and gets business hopping. I’ve gotten to create some unique pieces over the years, but my favorite element is still logo design. It is the greatest design challenge of them all.

So what can ChromAddict design for you? I’m happy you asked –

  • Logo
  • Web/Social Media Graphics
  • Invitations
  • Posters
  • Catalogs
  • Stationery set
  • Brochures
  • Book Covers
  • Calendars
  • Folders
  • Ads
  • Mailers/Postcards
  • Book Layout
  • Billboards
  • Tradeshow display graphics

Well, you get the idea. And yes, I know you have a budget. I promise to stick to it :-)

PORTFOLIO

Huntsville Art League Newspaper Ad

The focus of the Huntsville Art League is their tagline, “Where Art Starts”. They needed a simple black and white, quarter page ad for a local newspaper that emphasized that idea. I hand drew all the letters and made the “ART” into little pieces of art in different styles to and mediums to appeal to a wider audience.

ChromAddict Newspaper Ad

At some point, you need to practice what you preach. Since my art is a new product for me, I decided I needed a little advertising. This is a color, quarter page ad that ran in the special arts edition of Valley Planet. The ad needed to focus on my three services areas – art, print, and web. But I wanted it to be a little off the wall and humorous. I drew the owls and cat with color pencils and matched their colors to the colors I use for each area.

Jackson Center Marketing Materials

For this project, ChromAddict teamed with SocialK Communications to rebrand Jackson Center’s marketing materials. They wanted something “techie” but also colorful and different. We created icons for each of their main service areas to help identify each area and use them throughout the pieces. We created a new folder, business card, stationery set, brochure, and ads, including a special Holiday ad. The paper stock for the folder has a unique satin feel that really stands out when you pick it up.

Locksmith Series Covers

Published by OnStage Publishing, the Locksmith Series of eBooks is aimed at young adults. Currently there are two books available for purchase on Smashwords with more in the works. ChromAddict designed the Locksmith Series logo and covers. The covers combine manipulated stock photos and custom drawn elements to achieve the desired look.

ChromAddict Holiday Card 2012

Each year a I create a fun Holiday card to send to my clients that features some sort of gift. It could be a windup toy or seed packets, you just never know. This year I made magnets out of the penny tiles I normally use for pendants. I created for different faces to go along with my copy and turned the piece into one big math equation. The solution – JOY!

“Bubble Ad” for Donny’s Diamond Gallery

The “Bubble Ad” was created by combining a stock photo with Donny’s beautiful custom engagement rings. I also had to create a custom “bubble” brush in Photoshop to make new bubbles and augment the existing ones so that the rings appeared to float within the bubbles. The ad was created in various sizes and used in publications such as our local “Event Magazine”. There was also a poster version on display at Parkway Place Mall.

Redstone Federal Credit Union’s 60th Anniversary Calendar

Redstone Federal Credit Union gives it members a calendar every year. For their 60th Anniversary, they wanted to make it special and feature old photos from all of the areas they serve. It took a lot of hunting, and sometimes some begging, to get all these great photos, but the final piece turned out great. They even had to do a second printing. We went with a retro look too, which made the piece even more fun.

2010 ADDY® Design Annual

The theme for the American Advertising Federation – North Alabama 2010 ADDY® Awards was “The Addy Element” and was conceived by the 2010 ADDY team. The book was designed by me – from layout to photography. It even included a periodic table of design. It features all of the winners organized by category with an index in the back organized by winner.
